CHUANWEI CIGS

FAQ

Is the store legitimate?

Chuanwei Cigs is an independent tobacconist and coffee cellar. Tobacco is parallel-import stock shipped from our supplier in China; coffee is held in New York and dispatched domestically. Business details are on the About page.

Do I have to be 21?

Yes for tobacco. Federal law requires 21, and every tobacco delivery needs an adult signature and a government photo ID at the door. Coffee has no age limit. The cart asks for a date of birth before you can check out with tobacco.

Why is there a 10 lb limit?

A single parcel cannot exceed 10 lb of tobacco, which is about 18 cartons. It is a federal limit on a single sale. Larger orders are charged by the higher weight bands and travel as separate parcels; each parcel containing tobacco needs its own signature.

Why do my cartons look different from the photo?

Cartons are parallel-import stock. Packaging, tax stamps and batch markings vary between lots, so the photo is representative rather than exact.

Will I owe state tax?

Sales tax is collected where we are registered. Some states also assess consumer use tax on out-of-state tobacco, and a few require you to declare it. Your state revenue site is authoritative; we do not collect excise tax on your behalf.

Can I ship to a different address than my billing address?

Yes. Somebody 21 or over must be there to sign.

Something arrived damaged.

Tell us within 48 hours with photographs. See Returns.

Can I return an opened carton?

Usually not, because tobacco is a consumable. Unopened cartons with an intact seal can come back within 14 days of delivery.

How do I reach you?
